Electricity price MCP server for Germany (SMARD)
The nationwide day-ahead spot electricity price (SMARD, Federal Network Agency) directly in your AI assistant, through InfraNode's free, keyless MCP tool.
What the MCP tool does
The power-price data type (via the get_city_resource MCP tool) returns the Germany-wide day-ahead spot electricity price as a daily value. Ask your AI agent about the price and it calls the tool itself, for example to find the cheapest charging time.
Use it in Claude or ChatGPT
Connect the InfraNode MCP server to your AI client once (see
set up the MCP server). After that a natural-language
question is enough, the assistant calls the get_city_resource tool
itself:
What is today's spot electricity price in Germany?
The MCP server is free, keyless and remote over Streamable HTTP at
https://mcp.infranode.dev/mcp. No API key, no install.
Prefer the REST API?
The same data is also available without an AI agent as a classic REST API, also free and keyless.
